Neil Lowrey started bartending in his beloved Manchester, in his brothers bar, hoping to make some extra cash to get through college. Little did he realise that this sideline, would soon get him so hooked, that training became his priority, allowing him to turn his hobby into a "real job".
Since then Lowrey's career has flown him to the far reaching corners of the globe, to places he never imagined, "I've been to places I could only have dreamed of and met so many people who've contributed to some incredible experiences", says Lowrey, who still likes nothing more than a visit 'back home to Manc'.
Lowrey has the enviable reputation as the world's fastest flair bartender, being placed in the top 4 bartenders in the UK for 5 years.
Neil won the Roadhouse World League - renowned as the toughest competition on the globe, in 2002 & 2004, with other wins in Poland, and Norway, and Lord of the Tins 4 UK Champion.
By this point in their careers, "The Neils" where beginning to receive some real recognition for their talents, and it wasn't long until the pair began a friendly rivalry which continues to this day - with 2004 seeing Lowrey pip Garner to the post, by winning at the UKBG Stolichnaya Championship.
Lowrey picked up numerous titles including "Blue Bamboo Splash Champion", and placed 5th in the Roadhouse World Finals of 2005, and in the same year, 2nd in the Paris Flair Open, and 7th at the King of the Ring in Las Vegas - soon beginning to compete with Garner's list of countries visited adding Austria, Romania, Ibiza, and Germany to his list.
Lowrey's smile and awesome speed soon found him quite a following in the flair scene, and equal popularity at events, where dignitaries, and celebrities often requested this cheeky bartender as their favourite - further adding to the Air Miles he clocked up as they jetting him around the world to be at their parties.
In 2005, Lowrey jumped at the chance of teaming up with old friend and flair rival Neil Garner to form BarWizards - and the opportunity to have a "proper" job title of company director to add to his competition titles - and hasn't looked back since as they continue to enjoy every day at work!
