Barwizards International
BarWizards International came into being in early 2005, after good friends Neil Lowrey & Neil Garner aspired to moving the world of flair bartending into a new phase.
They hoped to create a show, which would allow them to work as performers, and gain respect for their skills as entertainers whilst still serving people great drinks.
By June 2005, the BarWizards had created a unique tandem flair show, and went to perform at the King of the Ring World Championships, in Las Vegas, where they were proud to finish in second place.
Upon returning to the UK, the BarWizards travelled the country, promoting their new show, and soon found a great interest in the corporate market as an after dinner show - this allowed them the opportunity to develop the routine, and hone their tandem skills, whilst experimenting with new moves, music and themes - culminating with a jaw dropping performance at the 2006 Roadhouse World Finals in London's Covent Garden.
All the while, the Neils have continued to event bartend, develop a renowned mobile cocktail bar service, perform in the media, and train aspiring flair bartenders.
Some highlights of the last few years have been:
- Bacardi Breezer cruise to Finland and Estonia
- Appearances on a Question of Sport, CCTVA China, Indian primetime television, and the Paul O'Grady show.
- Launch of the Yes nightclub in Guangzhou China - where they performed to 3500 guests as part of their 10 city tour of China with Solidarnosc Vodka.
- Enjoying the sunshine at Regents Park performing shows for Sagitiba.
- Mixing drinks for the stars at the National Television Awards 2005/6.
- Flair shows for Bols liqueurs and training bartenders with Bols in the Nordic regions.
- Hosting flair competitions including Gravity flair comp in Rotterdam, Red Square Bartender of the Year, and NB's Flairmania.
- Bartending at a glamorous engagement party in Mumbai for Bollywood superstars.
- Hellmann's marketing campaign being launched worldwide in 2007, created by advertising giants Ogilvy.
Watch out for BarWizards in the media in 2007 as they look towards their next goal of promoting professional entertainment bartending in the mainstream media.
